Ons was gister by die peadiater. Hy vra toe of J***** al siek was. Toe ek nee se se hy... Natuurlik nie, want hy is mos by die huis. Ek't hom reggehelp en gesê hy is by die skool. Hy se as kinders skool begin op 'n maandag is hul die donderdag siek in sy kantoor.
Wou toe sommer net dankie se dat jul so topnotch hygiene het, en dus verseker dat my baba gesond bly!

I know J***** will only be 2 in December but would really like you to start the potty training process with her. For the last month or so we started a routine at home were she will sit on the toilet before climbing in the bath. To our amazement she has definitely grasp the concept. For the last three nights she has made wee's in the toilet. WHAT A PARTY!
Since J***** started at Let them Grow there has been a huge growth spurt. I know she is reaching her milestones with ease as she is in your staff's capable hands, they love her, nurture her, and teach her and this is very apparent in her daily routine. I have heard the songs like Baa Baa Black sheep, Twinkle Twinkle little star and even Row Row your Boat, develop over the months, oh and so cute when she does the actions. A special thanks to José, as she is without a doubt J*****'s "mother away from home"!
Again a massive thank you to all of you for your consistent love and attention and your passion for the children.

It was with a sore heart this morning that I took A***** downstairs instead of the baby room – she is growing up too quickly!!
I would just like to give Susan, Hlako and all the ladies involved in the baby room a big THANK YOU for looking after A***** so well over the last couple of months. I really appreciate their dedication, kindness and gentleness when dealing with A*****. I always felt comfortable leaving A***** in their care, because I was confident they always had her wellbeing at heart.

Dear Let Them Grow Family,
My husband and I thought that we must write you guys a short note of acknowledgement and appreciation for all you do...
When we first started looking for a school for E****, I have to confess that we were both considerably nervous about leaving him in the care of others, as well as letting him loose on them.
We have to take a moment to let your team know what a seamless transition it has been for both us and E****, and what a pleasure it is seeing him embrace your team as part of our family.
Today (June 16th) he woke up, dressed himself and asked to go to school. That is but one indication of how much he enjoys being at Let Them Grow. And grow he truly has.
We have seen our son become independent, social, outspoken (and opinionated) and engage with his surroundings and learn like never before.
Needless to say, we have the Let Them Grow family to thank for expanding his horizons, tolerating his precociousness, and developing his potential.
So, without much more words, Carl and I just want to say, THANK YOU BUNCHES! You truly add value to our lives, which is priceless! And we want to acknowledge and appreciate this.

Oh Marinda I really so wish I could still have squashy at Let them Grow. I was in tears last night, my poor squashy, with all this moving schools, she is starting to forget to go to the loo and making mistakes. She is still squashy but I can see the unsettling in her and sjoe it worries me. I said to Shaun last night that I wish with all my heart that I could have left her with you all, I really really do!!
Nobody can understand the love, care and education you give your kids till you have to move them, my eyes have truly been opened and I am not sure I like what I see with other schools. J**** said on her first day of her new school “ Mommy, I am not going to the angry school anymore” ….. this broke my heart!!!! There is a huge difference between day care and school, private and semi.
I miss you all so much and my heart is so so sore at the moment, I feel like a terrible mother!
I will keep you updated on her progress and please keep us in your prayers that our baby settles soon and that she will be happier in her new school.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you so much for the wonderful staff you have. Elizabeth and Jose have really taken J***** on as one of their own. This morning was the first morning that she did not cry when I left. With all her teething ailments I was so worried about nappy rash, but Jose has been excellent staying on top of that.
I can already see a huge improvement in J*****'s social skills.

We have settled in nicely at home, Shaun is building his pond and we are ripping the garden up to start all over again so have not had much time to relax and enjoy the space yet but it will come!
Squash has settled into her new school but unfortunately I am just not happy with it, the teacher couldn’t shake my hand because she was painting her nails!!!! I called the next day to tell them that we are taking J**** out!!! I am really battling with not having the type of care you all gave her. My standard is so high now that I am battling to find a school that meets the same standards you set!! We have found another school closer to home, I cannot say that I can tick off all my wants but I believe it will be a better school for our Squash.
We have a new addition to the family ….. Diesel, our Rhodesian Ridgeback … he is Squashy’s new best friend!!

Yesterday was a very hard day for us and our squashy had absolutely no idea what was going on but I am sure she will carry the memories with her. We will never forget you all, you have been such a big part of all our lives and cannot thank you enough.
Please could you let the ladies know that J**** was very brave this morning, she helped me pack her new school bag, wore her new shoes and dress and didn’t even cry when we dropped her off. I called (as the paranoid mom) at 10h00 and they said that she had already made 3 friends (she is just like her father), I cannot wait to go home to see how it went.
I promise that we will visit and will never forget the amazing school and people that made our Squashy who she is today!

They were very impressed with S****, she did extremely well on the assessments and she's been offered a place for Grade 0 next year. Ek kan nie eers begin om te beskryf hoe baie ons julle mis nie. Lené was vir 2 weke in ‘n nuwe skool in die Vaal Driehoek, maar dinge het nie goed gegaan nie. Die spreukwoord "you only realize what you had once it's gone" is soooo baie waar. So ek wil vir julle almal se BAIE DANKIE:
Dankie dat Lené nooit gehuil het as ek haar by die skool aflaai nie, in teen deel, sy was so bly om vir Lizzy en Susan te sien dat ek by tye gedink het sy wil nie huis toe kom nie.
Dankie dat sy nooit rooi boudjies gekry het nie
Dankie dat ek elke dag met 'n geruste hart kon gaan werk en kon weet my kind is in besonderse goeie hande
Dankie dat julle soveel omgee
Dankie dat sy amper elke dag lekker vuil huistoe gekom het, want dan het ek geweet sy het lekker buite gespeel
Dankie vir die opvoedkundige stimuleering wat julle haar gegee het
Dankie vir alles!!!
Ons het Lené hierdie week in 'n ander skool begin en dit gaan sommer baie beter: sy huil nie meer in die oggende nie en speel ook lekker buite. Sy gee so 4 treetjies op haar eie, maar sal een van die dae heeltemal op haar eie begin loop.

Ugh heaviness all round here tonight. Genoa's last day is tomorrow, I know this sounds silly but Genoa was really upset that she couldn't take her 'decorasher' home. (Bake and create) There was such tears I had to sit on the grass and explain to her that it isn't finished yet. Poor Jennifer explained to me that they'd finish them next week, not realising Genoa won't be there. I have had to prepare Genoa for the move by counting the days so by this morning she really understood that tomorrow is her last day and I think as much as she doesn't fully understand the concept, her little heart is still very sore. I'm sure she wont mind if she takes an unfinished decorasher home tomorrow. Sorry Marinda.

I just wanted to say that the fun day was a great day out. We (and I) thoroughly enjoyed it and I was apprehensive to begin with. I was disappointed afterwards that I had not bid more for - ******* - class painting, next time I think we can do better with the auction. I think this is the beginning of a great annual get together.

please don't say goodbye yet - I have only checked out two places, and I am NOT impressed. I have gotten used to the PRIVATE, EXCLUSIVE way of life at LTG, and can't find a match. So let's see after we move in and get settled-end feb/march-how the travelling goes, but then winter will start april and I won't want to move her then either - so BIG SIGH, decisions, decisions!!!

Might I just add that Lori-Anne is always so helpful and happy and bubbly in the afternoons that I see her - "geez, Lori-Anne must certainly be passionate about her job - to still be smiling in the afternoons after 9-10 hours of a kazillion kiddies. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the parent-teacher evening, timing is a little difficult for us. Whenever I drop - ***** - off or pick her up I see she is happy and the staff always tell me how she has done that day. I have the greatest confidence that she is happy, well cared for and well fed!!! I am sure that if anything were wrong you and your staff would let me know very quickly.

I would also like to thank Dalene and her team for the wonderful care and way that they handle Ayla, especially the last two weeks. I have had a very serious personal issue, and they have also been very supportive of me as well. So thank you, it is nice to know that they even care about the Mommy's and are willing to just listen and offer support.

I just wanted to express yet again my thanks to your staff and you for really taking the time to improve Ayla's care, in terms of the environment that she is in everyday. She loves being outside.
